 The Director General of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing in Dubai, Hilal Saeed Al-Marri, confirmed that the Emirate of Dubai has shown high flexibility in responding efficiently and quickly to the various conditions of the business environment, and its ability to harmonize its plans and directions with market variables, adding that the work is in harmony and compatibility between the various components of the economic system. He added: “In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the government is keen to make its work distinguished and exceptional through full coordination and mobilization of expertise and energies in all parties, and continuous cooperation with the private sector. This was evident in the plan that was adopted at the emirate level to deal with the crisis of the "Covid-19" pandemic. 

This came during the recent launch of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry of its new initiative "Virtual Series of Meetings", which hosts in direct meetings a number of heads and leaders of the business community from the public and private sectors, to discuss current issues related to the business environment, and efforts to recover from the emerging coronavirus (Covid) crisis. -19), and shed light on government efforts to overcome the negative repercussions of this crisis on the business sector, and to ensure sustainability and business continuity.



During the meeting, which was attended by Hamad Buamim, Director General of the Dubai Chamber, and more than 600 participants from 60 countries representing the private sector, including business councils and groups that work under the Chamber’s umbrella, economic and professional bodies and interested companies and institutions operating in the emirate, Al-Marri spoke about the efforts of Dubai Tourism in Strengthening Dubai's position as a safe destination for travel and tourism, highlighting the procedures and steps adopted by the department to face the current changes.



Al Marri added: “The tourism sector in Dubai is distinguished by its pioneering infrastructure in the world, and our pre-preparedness, as well as cooperation and coordination between all parties has led to the efficient management of the pandemic, which allowed us to start receiving travelers from several international destinations while ensuring full implementation. For all health and safety standards, these efforts have contributed to re-opening to global markets that have taken similar steps.



Al Marri concluded by saying: “We at Dubai Tourism have been keen to confirm our commitment to the digital transformation of our operations and place it on our list of priorities, as we have reviewed the experience of visiting travelers from each country based on the target audience and the preferences of each of them.
