Aid for nightclubs, which have remained closed in France since March because of the coronavirus epidemic, will be extended by four months until the end of 2020, the ministry responsible for SMEs announced on Friday.

Access to component 2 of the solidarity fund for these establishments “has been renewed until the end of 2020 according to the same criteria as those announced in July, i.e. assistance to cover fixed costs including rents up to 15,000 euros per month ”, according to a press release from the ministry released after a meeting of Minister Delegate for SMEs Alain Griset with representatives of the nightlife.

A cost of 50 million euros for three months

The system has also been extended to directors of establishments with retirement pensions of more than 1,500 euros, and the calculation of the compensation revised: it will be equal to "the sum of the debts of the company including commercial or professional rents. », Within the limit of 15,000 euros.

For the three months from June to August, Bercy had estimated the cost of the measure at 50 million euros for around 1,600 companies concerned.

The ministry was not yet able to quantify the cost of extending the device on Friday.

The discotheques also benefit from partial unemployment supported at 100% until the end of the year as well as an exemption from social contributions since February 1, recalls the ministry.
