Mr. Lee, who is self-employed in Gyeonggi Province, applied for an emergency employment security grant from the Ministry of Employment and Labor in early July, but has not yet received all of them.

The support fund is paid in two splits, but the remaining 500,000 won has not been received until three months have passed since I waited.

The promise to give within two weeks lengthened to one month, and the promise to give by the end of August was not kept to Mr. Lee.

“I was thinking of paying the capital tax, but I feel more betrayed because I am not a hopeful torture, and because of my waiting heart,

” Lee said.

However, like Mr. Lee, the report that he had not received the subsidy continued even after September.

After the review of the documents to be submitted, even after the

payment decision was made, there were many cases where the news was not reduced for more than 2 to 3 weeks.

In many cases, there was no clear explanation for why payment was delayed.

● 1.76 million applicants, paid 1,965.4 billion won...

How many people did you actually get?

The Ministry of Employment and Labor said

that 99.9% of the number of applications had been reviewed as of

September 4,

and the payment amount was KRW 1.94 trillion

.

After the review was completed, I asked why there are so many people who do not receive the grant right away, and how much is the percentage.

The response from the Ministry of Employment and Labor added, "We are not able to figure out the cases in which the deposit is not deposited in the bankbook after the payment is completed."

It is not the reporters that the Ministry of Employment and Labor has to seek for understanding, but the applicants who are waiting for the subsidy so that their throats will go down.

The Ministry of Employment and Labor only discloses statistics that 99.9% of applicants have completed the document review, but does not disclose exactly what percentage of applicants received 1.5 million won.

As in the previous case, the reason for the delay was not explained to individual applicants who hold dozens of phones a day.

● "I thought I was happy to receive it, but I felt like I was exhausted while I was waiting." Are

there just'some' cases of not receiving the grant yet?

Since accurate payment statistics are not disclosed, we have no choice but to estimate how many people have not received it based on the data released by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.

By simple calculation, if the total number of applicants is 1.763,555, multiplied by 1.5 million won per person, it is about 2,654.5 billion won.

Until now, the payment amount is KRW 1.94 trillion (as of September 4), so there is a difference of about KRW 600 billion.

It is possible to'simple calculation' that payments have not been completed for about 400,000 people, but this is also a conjecture based on limited data.

Accurate data must be transparently disclosed by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.

● Will I be able to receive the upcoming 2nd emergency subsidy on time? A

2nd emergency employment stabilization subsidy is foreseen for the underprivileged.

It is organized in a scale of about 2 trillion won to provide additional support for the primary target.

At the time of the first subsidy application, 17,633,555 people flocked, about 620,000 more than the 1.14 million applicants expected by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.

1.1 million (62.4%) small self-employed, 590,000 (33.5%) high-skill workers and freelancers, and 70,000 (4.1%) unpaid leave, which is about 1.5 times the number of targets.

That would mean that there were many people waiting for this funding like a rain of drought.

As it was intended to be paid first to those who are more difficult,

we asked the Ministry of Employment and Labor if it

would be possible to pay the second subsidy without delay

.

“In the first round, we will use it based on the applicant data so that it can be processed quickly, and we will make sure that there is no delay due to the increased proficiency in the screening work of our employees

.”

At the same time, he said that detailed workforce management plans and processing procedures are under discussion.

We hope that this time, it will be a'emergency subsidy' that is provided in a timely manner to those who need it, taking lessons from the first subsidy screening.
