According to the head of the Iranian nuclear program, Ali Akbar Salehi, this site is buried under the mountain and therefore difficult to destroy.

This announcement comes after the destruction of a building in the Natanz site after an act of "

sabotage

 ", according to Iran.

In this building, Iran was testing new state-of-the-art centrifuges intended to speed up the country's enrichment program.

The announcement by Ali Akbar Salehi comes after his spokesman said Iran's production of enriched uranium reached its pre-nuclear deal level.

This spokesperson also reaffirmed that

Iran's current stock of enriched uranium was ten times higher

than the level set by the 2015 nuclear agreement with the great powers.

The United States is stepping up its diplomatic efforts to restore UN sanctions against Tehran and extend the arms embargo that is due to end in October.

The majority of the members of the Security Council, notably France, the United Kingdom, Germany, as well as Russia and China, are opposed to the American attempts.
