A report issued by the commercial registration and licensing sector in the Dubai Economy showed that the total number of active and operating companies in the "Jumeirah" area to date has reached 3648 companies.
According to the report, the licenses issued were distributed according to activity, as commercial licenses recorded 1919 licenses with a share of 52.6% of the total number of licenses, followed by professional licenses that amounted to 1663 licenses with a share of 45.6%, while tourist licenses recorded 48 licenses with a rate of 1.3%. And «Industrial» 18 licenses, rate of 0.5%.
The report explained the volume of commercial activity in the "Jumeirah" area to give the business community an introductory overview of the reality of business and the opportunities available in that region.
With regard to the legal form of active licenses in the "Jumeirah" area, licenses for limited liability companies came first with a rate of 49.5%, followed by individual establishments by 36.6%, then civil works with a rate of 5.3%.


Legal forms also include: a limited liability company - a single person, a branch of a company based in another emirate, a branch of a Gulf company, a branch of a foreign company, a public shareholding company, a branch of a company / establishment based in a free zone, a partnership, a private shareholding, a simple recommendation, a government liaison office , And others.
As for the total number of businessmen in companies operating in the "Jumeirah" area, it reached 25 thousand and 219 businessmen, or 95.6%, while the number of businesswomen reached 749 businesswomen, or 2.8%, in addition to 404 companies, or 1.6%.


The Dubai Economic Department pointed out that the most prominent groups of activities for licenses in "Jumeirah" include: restaurants and cafes; The ready-to-wear group, medical clinics, and other commercial activities, electronics group, and other professional services; Ladies salon, real estate, ladies tailoring and design.
