Travel and tourism agencies have confirmed a significant growth in the rate of tourist bookings to spend external holidays to the Maldives and Seychelles, during the past week, with the easing of travel restrictions, and the absence of a quarantine on tourists upon arrival, indicating that citizens are the most popular of those reservations.
She explained, for «Emirates Today», that the prices of tourist offers to the Maldives start from about 6000 dirhams, and to Seychelles about 4,500 dirhams, including airline tickets in economy class, hotel accommodation for four nights, as well as transportation.
Tourist reservations
In detail, Mohamed Jassim Al-Rayyis, the executive vice president of "Al-Rayes Travel" said that the rate of tourist reservations for spending foreign holidays witnessed a great growth during the past week, to both the Maldives and Seychelles, pointing out that the company recorded a movement of extensive reservations regardless of the number Total.
He added that reservations are recorded by citizens primarily, residing in the country, and continue until the end of this month, pointing out that the movement of travel is concentrated in these two destinations, due to the absence of travel restrictions, or requirements related to quarantine.
Al-Rayyis said that part of the reservations are concentrated in next September, but at lower rates, noting that tourist resorts in the Maldives provide many services, including the possibility of conducting a "Covid-19" examination before returning to the country.

He added that the prices of tourist offers are attractive, especially since the two destinations embrace luxury tourist resorts, pointing out that citizens are the most popular, at a time when the company during the recent period received many inquiries by dealers regarding procedures for spending tourist holidays in these two destinations.
Quarantine
For his part, Said Al-Abedi Holding Company for Tourism and Travel, said that the lack of a quarantine requirement for tourists upon arrival is one of the most important reasons that raised the rate of tourist reservations for citizens to these two destinations during the recent period, in addition to the presence of direct flights, Noting that the reservations movement was noticeable, despite its small number, compared to previous seasons.
Al-Abdi added that foreign tourism is subject to many considerations under the current conditions, including travel and return procedures, noting that the levels of demand are generally linked to the travel concerns of many during the current period.
He expected that the easing of travel restrictions would contribute to increasing reservations from the local market, pointing out that most of the tourist reservations are concentrated in this August, given that the school season will start in September.
