The CEO of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), Marwan bin Jassim Al Serkal, has revealed the launch of four new tourism projects in Khor Fakkan, Kalba, Al Dhaid and Maliha, as part of the Shurooq plan to develop the tourism and hospitality sectors in various regions of the Emirate of Sharjah.

Al Serkal confirmed during an interview with the live broadcast program on Sharjah TV that the launch of (Shurooq) for these projects comes a translation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in developing infrastructure and enhancing the tourism scene in the emirate’s cities with heritage and historical destinations And the environment to meet the requirements of growth and prosperity in the eastern and central regions of the emirate, indicating that these new projects are responding to the increasing demand for tourism facilities in the emirate, especially hotels and hotels. "

He said: "We have ready designs for the construction of two five-star hotels at a high level in the eastern region, one near Khorfakkan Beach with 66 rooms and the other near the" Kalba Front "project, which includes a commercial center that the Authority is currently implementing in cooperation with" Eagle Hills ", where he will add The two hotels have great momentum for the eastern region, knowing that the upcoming hotel in Khor Fakkan will include the first water park in this region. "

He stated that (Shurooq) is currently working in cooperation with the Environment and Natural Reserves Authority in Sharjah to construct a hotel that provides a "safari" experience in Al Dhaid, which includes 60 rooms in a design that takes into account the surrounding area within a natural reserve, which contains many types of African wild animals.

Al Serkal indicated that it is expected to complete the construction of the "Moon Inn", which is located within the "Mleiha Environmental and Archeological Tourism", and is the second inn after the Al Faya Inn, which was opened by the authority last year. Al Serkal announced the completion of construction works for "Moon Inn" at the end of the year 2020.

He added that (Shurooq) aims by launching new tourism projects to support the economic sector in the emirate by stimulating investment in various projects, especially in the eastern and central regions, which constitute a major pillar of tourism attraction in Sharjah.
