La Halle now knows its new owner. This is the Beaumanoir group which has just been chosen by the Paris Commercial Court to take over almost all of the fashion activity of the shoe and clothing brand, which is in receivership.

Its offer was "deemed to be the most relevant and favorable project for safeguarding employment, sustaining 2,520 jobs in France, 366 stores and the activity of the Montierchaume (Indre) logistics warehouse," said in a press release. the group based in Saint-Malo. Beaumanoir, which also owns the Cache Cache, Bonobo and Bréal brands, "welcomes the decision of the Paris Commercial Court which has just welcomed the takeover of the La Halle brand".

Stores also taken over by Chausséa and Chauss 34

Twenty candidates were positioned for the partial takeover of La Halle, which has 830 stores and 5,500 employees, but none wanted to take over the brand in full. Among the other buyers approved by the Parisian court, there are brands specializing in shoes, said Karim Cheboub, CGT delegate from La Halle. Between the stores bought by Beaumanoir and those taken over by "Chausséa and Chauss 34 [an independent brand established in the South of France], 3,334 jobs were preserved out of 5,500", he underlined.

With this acquisition of the “flagship French fashion at low prices for the whole family”, the Malouin group intends to “consolidate” its position in this sector. To support the relaunch of the La Halle brand, Beaumanoir has provided “an envelope of 60 million euros”, he adds, in particular to accelerate its development in online commerce.
