Application acceptance start from 14th rent support benefit New Corona 7/7 12:22

“Rental support benefits” that reduce the burden of rents on small and medium-sized enterprises whose sales have dropped due to the spread of the new coronavirus will be accepted from 14th of this month.

At the press conference after the Cabinet meeting on the 7th, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Kajiyama announced that he will start accepting applications for rent support benefits from this month 14th.

The target is the influence of the new coronavirus, which means that between May and December, sales have decreased by 50% or more in one month compared to the same period last year, or 30% or more in three consecutive months. The number of businesses has decreased.

The amount to be paid is up to 6 million yen for SMEs and up to 3 million yen for sole proprietorships including freelancers. In principle, applications can only be made online.

Minister Kajiyama said, "Through this system, we will reduce the impact of fixed costs such as land rent and rent on management, and will continue to support the business continuity of all businesses."

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry announces application procedures and necessary documents on the website prior to the start of acceptance, but the number of documents that need to be confirmed increases, so the examination period is about two weeks. It is expected to be longer than the stipend benefits.
