  As of the close, the Dow rose 92.39 points, or 0.36%, to 25827.36 points; the Nasdaq rose 53.00 points, or 0.52%, to 10207.63 points; the S&P 500 index rose 14.15 points, or 0.45%, to 3130.01 points.

  Large US technology stocks were mixed, Apple closed flat, Amazon rose 0.4%, Netflix fell 1.8%, Google rose 1.94%, Facebook fell 1.74%, and Microsoft rose 0.76%.

  Popular stocks were mixed, Alibaba rose 3.53%, JD rose 2.32%, Baidu rose 2.21%; Weilai Automobile rose 18.52%, Dada Group rose 13.95%, Fun Headline rose 11.97%, and who learned to rise 10.04 %, Pinduoduo rose 8.84%. September Brent crude oil futures on the London Intercontinental Exchange rose $1.11, or 2.6%, to close at $43.14 per barrel.
