It is now official. Entering into exclusive negotiations in mid-June, the French giant of disposable pens, lighters and razors BIC has just finalized the acquisition of the Breton manufacturer of lighters Djeep. BIC will pay "40 million euros, to which would be added a price supplement to be paid according to the growth of future sales of Djeep", details the group in its press release.

This acquisition "aims to strengthen BIC's position on the pocket lighters market," he said. Djeep, a company founded in 1973 and specialized in decorated lighters, has a factory in Guidel in the Morbihan. The company generated revenue of 14 million euros in 2019, mainly in Europe.
