“The PGNiG Management Board announces the conclusion of an amendment to the contract for the sale of natural gas to the Republic of Poland dated September 25, 1996 between PGNiG and PJSC Gazprom,” RIA Novosti quoted the company as saying.
It is noted that the parties confirmed the application of the price purchase formula for gas supplied under the Yamal contract.
The Polish company "expects Gazprom to reimburse the overpayment in favor of PGNiG in the amount of about $ 1.5 billion."
PGNiG also indicates the possibility of a change in the price of gas supplied by Gazprom.
Previously, Gazprom appealed in a court of Sweden the decision of the arbitration tribunal for a dispute with PGNiG on gas prices.
In late March, a Polish company announced victory in a gas price case under a current contract. According to PGNiG, it is entitled to a refund of $ 1.5 billion.
