A reporter from ChinaNews.com contacted the customer service of the three major operators by telephone, confirming that there are indeed discount activities, and each operator has different levels of discount prices for 5G packages.
China Mobile customer service said that there was a 30% discount on 5G packages a while ago. China Mobile’s minimum package of 128 yuan per month was converted to 89 yuan per month. Now, users can log in to the official APP to check whether they enjoy the price of this event.
China Telecom's customer service said that there are also activities recently, pre-stored 100 yuan of phone bills, and guaranteed 24 consecutive months of use, can enjoy the contract price, such as 129 yuan per month package price 103 yuan per month.
The customer service of China Unicom said that the 199 yuan monthly 5G package is doing 30% discount, which is 139 yuan per month, but only for users who receive outbound calls from China Unicom.
For ordinary users, China Unicom's customer service said that 200 yuan is pre-stored to ensure 24 months of continuous use. The price of 5G packages can be discounted by 30%, covering 5G packages of various gears. For example, the monthly package price of 129 yuan is 90 yuan per month. However, this activity can only be handled in offline business halls. If the user cannot use it continuously for 24 months, he will have to pay a penalty.

5G mobile phone prices drop to around 1500 yuan

5G base stations increase by 10,000 per week

On May 25, Miao Wei, Minister of Industry and Information Technology, said that China currently adds more than 10,000 5G base stations every week.
According to the plan of the three major operators, the number of 5G base stations is expected to exceed 550,000 by the end of 2020. The three major operators and China Tower invested 57.3 billion yuan in 5G this year.
