A document issued by the European Aviation Safety Agency "IASA" showed that the purpose of its list of airports located in the areas affected by the "Covid-19" epidemic is to provide instructions to air operators to perform enhanced sterilization operations of the aircraft in the framework of ensuring additional protection for passengers and crew.

According to the updated document that showed Emirates Today, a copy of it, the list does not aim to propose travel restrictions or other public health measures (such as quarantine) at the country level, and the list has nothing to do with preventing travel from the airports of the countries in which it is contained, including That the Arab Gulf states.

Besides the Gulf states, the list includes 9 European countries, namely Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. It also includes more than 22 airports in the United States, and other countries that update and provide their official data to international organizations and bodies.

The agency stated that the list was developed in coordination with its member states, based on information from the World Health Organization and the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control, and this list is constantly updated after consultation with the relevant partners.

The European Agency said that the decision to include or not to include an airport on the list must be based on data collected and arranged perfectly and in a consistent manner, adding, "Unfortunately, countries around the world do not report the same data and not in the same way."
