Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank announced that the bank’s board of directors accepted the request for the resignation of Mazen Manna from his position as CEO of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Group.
Joan Awaida Suhail Al Khaili, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, said: "On behalf of the members of the Board and all employees of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, I extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to Mr. Mazen for his tangible efforts during his tenure as CEO of the bank."
The bank stated that the board of directors had started to work effectively to secure a successor to the CEO and until then, the board decided to appoint Mr. Sandeep Chauhan, the current chief operating officer as acting CEO, immediately. Mr. Sandeep joined the bank in April 2020 to serve as Chief Operating Officer after 25 years of experience in leadership positions in global and local banks, most recently the Chief Operating Officer of Mashreq Bank.
