Etihad Airways has announced that it is preparing to resume operating regular flights from early July, while it has already started receiving reservations for this phase.

A spokesman for the company explained that "the suspension of passenger flights to and from the UAE is still in effect. This decision was taken as part of the ongoing efforts to contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus, and the decision is subject to continuous review.

He explained that while Etihad Airways is preparing to operate its international flight schedule, from And to Abu Dhabi, starting from the beginning of July, and based on the decision to lift travel restrictions, the carrier has begun accepting new reservations for flights throughout its global network of destinations.

The spokesman pointed out that the carrier will increase the number of private flights during the months of May and June, which it operates from Abu Dhabi to a number of major destinations around the world, in addition to flights between the United Kingdom and Australia.

He noted that Etihad continues to fully comply with the directives issued by the UAE government, the governments of the countries of the world, and the regulatory and health authorities, and that the operation of flights is still subject to the lifting of travel restrictions, and the carrier is doing its part to help limit the spread of the emerging corona virus (Covid-19).

He stressed in this regard that "in the interest of the safety of our guests, we have implemented a comprehensive sterilization program for all travelers' transit points and includes food services, deep cleaning of airplanes and booths, thermal examination, and health examination, along with meal service, airport transportation, and other services."

He pointed out that Etihad’s call centers are experiencing a lot of pressure at the present time.

You can contact the Etihad Airways call center from within the UAE, or the local contact centers of the partners.

As for the travelers who booked their flights with a travel agent, the spokesman for Etihad Airways stated that they must contact directly with their travel agent to make any modifications or cancellations.
