The Egyptian Embassy in the Sultanate of Oman has warned against falling victim to any company that announces exceptional trips to Cairo, other than what is announced on the embassy page.

The embassy, in a statement published by Al-Ahram newspaper, indicated, "To a company publishing an announcement of thanks aimed at misleading, by placing the name of the embassy and the emblem of the state eagle on it for claiming coordination regarding the conduct of a flight, which is a false claim, as the embassy deals with the official authorities only, and that Counterfeiting places the said company under penalty of law.

The embassy stressed that there was no coordination with any tourism company regarding flights, just as the embassy did not receive any requests from Oman Air to operate flights to date, knowing that this matter is an inherent jurisdiction of the higher committee concerned in both countries, and it is not within the jurisdiction of the embassy or Its powers to grant permits, and the embassy affirms that no non-governmental agency has the right to collect any data on Egyptian citizens without an official permit, and it warns Egyptian citizens against falling victim to swindling operations.
