Liu Aihua said that from the perspective of changes in the urban survey unemployment rate, the monthly survey unemployment rate changes are relatively small, 6.2% in February, 5.9% in March, and 6.0% in April. Monthly fluctuations are relatively small, overall Is stable. But from the perspective of more indicators, the current pressure on employment is still relatively large.

First, the scale of employment is lower than that of the same period of last year. In the period from January to April, the Human Resources and Social Security Department added 3.54 million new jobs in urban areas, which was an increase of 1.05 million less than that of the same period of last year.

Second, the urban survey unemployment rate is also higher than the same period last year. The urban survey unemployment rate in April was 6.0%, which was 1 percentage point higher than the survey unemployment rate in the same period last year, indicating that the employment pressure is indeed relatively high.

Third, the employment pressure of key groups is also relatively large. For example, migrant workers organized a quick survey at the end of April to find out the status of migrant workers returning to their hometowns. From the information we learned, after a series of matching measures and the promotion of local employment of migrant workers, the employment of migrant workers has improved to a certain extent. The scale of migrant workers going out at the end of April has returned to 90% Around, but there is still a distance from the normal level. From the perspective of college graduates, 8.74 million college graduates entered the job market this year, so the employment pressure is indeed relatively large.

Liu Aihua pointed out that taking employment as the first place in the "six stability" and "six guarantees" this year can be said to attach great importance to the issue of employment and has adopted a series of very targeted measures. Under these measures, although the employment pressure is still relatively high, some positive changes have also occurred. A quick survey showed that the proportion of urban unemployed people fell from 18.3% in March to 3.5%. This reflects the improvement in the quality and level of employment.
