Since February 1999, the aftermath of the foreign exchange crisis, it has declined the most in 21 years.

Following March, the face-to-face employment hit was the biggest.

Lodging, catering, wholesale and retail service workers in the service industry fell to 444,000, the largest ever.

[Eun Soon-Hyeon, Director of Social Statistics, Statistics Korea: There was a continuation of gatherings and refraining from going out to prevent the spread of infection, and the number of

unemployed workers decreased due to the sudden drop in tourists.)

Last month, the number of employed workers in the manufacturing industry decreased by 44,000, mainly in the petroleum products, cosmetics, and automobile sectors, and the number of workers decreased significantly from March.

By the 10th of this month, the average daily export amount has also decreased by more than 30% from a year ago, and there is a possibility that employment instability in the export manufacturing industry will spread.

By class, most of the vulnerable groups, such as temporary workers, youth, and women outside the employment safety net, suffered the most.

As you saw in the labor market report earlier, the number of temporary daily workers decreased by 783,000, which is not only beyond the level at the time of the financial crisis, but also the largest since the statistics in 1989.

By age, the employment rate of young people under the age of 29 was the largest, and the employment rate of women fell more than men.

The number of temporary leavers who are caught as employed, but not working, has surged more than 1 million for the second consecutive month.

As the likelihood of finding jobs has decreased, the number of people who have given up trying to find jobs has increased, especially in their 20s.

As a result, the unemployment rate, which is the rate at which jobs were sought but were unable to find employment, fell.

The government will soon provide more than 550,000 jobs.
