A spokesman for flydubai said that the flight restrictions are still in effect until further notice, noting that the carrier is currently operating return flights that facilitate the travel of visitors and residents wishing to return to their countries, as well as flights related to air freight.

He stressed that all flights announced by the carrier are subject to government approval.

The spokesman told «Emirates Today», that «flydubai» canceled the regular flights to book on the website until May 20, adding, “But we did not cancel all flights on our schedule.”

The spokesman continued, "We continue to monitor developments, and further cancellations will be announced when necessary in the event of an extension of the suspension of air travel."

He indicated that the recovered amounts are in line with the carrier’s terms and conditions, and will be in the form of a flydubai voucher with a validity period of up to 12 months, or customers can return reservations to a later date.

Flydubai has temporarily suspended passenger operations as part of the precautionary measures announced by the National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management and the General Authority of Civil Aviation in the Emirates, as of Tuesday, March 24.
