The Carrefour supermarket chain has announced that it will have masks in all its centers in Madrid from this past Saturday and that it will gradually expand to the rest of Spain, according to a company statement.

The company has included this product in its usual assortment to " guarantee its availability and contribute to the safety of its customers ". The non-reusable masks will be marketed in boxes of ten units at a price of 8.9 euros.

Along with them, the chain has also begun to offer its clients 100% cotton Spanish fabric masks, designed to incorporate any respiratory protection element on top and avoid direct contact of the mask with the hands, thus maintaining cleans for longer. Being fabric it can be washed after each use and there are models for both adults and children.

"From the beginning, Carrefour has focused its priorities on health protection, for which it carries out a wide range of measures," he assured.

In this line, it has had hydroalcoholic gels , gloves and practices zero contact in home deliveries, gauging controls in its stores, it has established minimum distances of 2 meters in counters and single row, it has installed 6,000 separation screens in its boxes , it opens them alternately and promotes 'contactless' payment and zero paper through its app.

As for hygiene and disinfection measures, it has mobilized 900 technicians who clean baskets , cars, common areas, entrances, toilets and changing rooms, cold furniture, boxes, counters, workstations and online orders three times a day .
