The 2019 tax reporting campaign begins Monday, April 20. Europe 1 explains who is concerned by automatic declaration, and until when you can declare your income according to your department of residence.

It may take some time during confinement ... You can declare your income as of this Monday morning: the online declaration service opens and the declaration period has been adjusted due to the epidemic. But it is not the only novelty this year.

Entry into force of automatic declaration

About 2/3 of users will have little or nothing to do, because this year marks the entry into force of what is called automatic declaration. This declaration will be offered to tax households that were taxed last year only on income pre-filled by the administration and who have not reported any change in situation, such as a divorce or a birth.

If this is the case, you will receive in your particular space on the tax site an email which will give you the summary of the information known to the administration. You just have to check it and if it is good, it will be your only step to do, you will have nothing more to do.

If you filed a paper return in 2019, you will receive your tax return by mail which will also present this new form to you. If there are changes, however, you will have to complete and sign your tax return as usual. But, more than ever in this period of health crisis, the administration is asking to do it by internet.

Different fences depending on the department

Online declarations are open for departments 01 to 19 until Thursday June 4, 2020 at 11.59 p.m., for departments 20 to 54 until Monday June 8, 2020 at 11.59 p.m., and finally for departments 55 to 976 until Thursday June 11, 2020 at 11:59 p.m.
