Panasonic to manufacture masks for its own employees 21:18 on April 20

Following the continued shortage of masks, Panasonic decided to start manufacturing masks at a factory in Okayama Prefecture from the end of next month.

According to the announcement, Panasonic will start production of masks at the factory in Okayama City from the end of next month.

This factory is producing video cameras for business use, and we are introducing new equipment to make masks in a "clean room" that removes dust and dust inside the factory.

The production volume is expected to reach 100,000 pieces per day.

Masks are mainly produced for our employees, but we would like to reduce the amount of masks procured from outside so that we can alleviate the mask shortage.

In the future, it plans to consider production for medical institutions.

Regarding the production of masks, Sharp, the same major electronics manufacturer, began production last month and will begin selling it to the general public on the 21st.

In addition, P & G Japan, a major household goods manufacturer, has begun to manufacture at a cosmetics factory in Shiga Prefecture from early June this year.
