In order to prevent the spread of new coronavirus infection, Japan McDonald's will use the seats inside the store from the morning of the 20th for all the stores in the "specific warning prefectures" that require special emphasis I decided to cancel.
According to the announcement by McDonald's Japan, we decided to suspend the use of the seats in all the stores in the “Special alert prefectures” from 5 am on the 20th until the 6th of the next day throughout the day.
The target areas are Tokyo, Kanagawa prefecture, Chiba prefecture, Saitama prefecture, Osaka prefecture, Hyogo prefecture, Fukuoka prefecture, Hokkaido, Ibaraki prefecture, Ishikawa prefecture, Gifu prefecture, Aichi prefecture, and Kyoto prefecture. In total, there are about 1910 stores in 13, excluding some stores that have been temporarily closed.
In these areas, in addition to takeaways, some stores also offer drive-throughs and home delivery.
Up until now, McDonald's Japan has taken measures such as stopping the use of seats in its stores from 8 pm to 5 am the following day in stores in eight prefectures such as Tokyo and Osaka. We decided to expand the region and time zone.
