In 2020, there are plans to renovate 39,000 old communities in cities and towns, involving nearly 7 million residents.
Huang Yan said at the State Council ’s regular policy briefing that it is necessary to clarify the task of renovating old urban communities, focusing on renovating residential areas built before the end of 2000, improving community support and municipal infrastructure, environment, and improving community pensions, childcare, and medical care. Public service level.
At the same time, establish and improve organizational implementation mechanisms. Guide localities to take overall responsibility, promote the orderly implementation of renovation projects according to the wishes of residents, and improve the long-term management mechanism of the community. Establish a rational sharing mechanism between the government and residents and social forces for the reform of funds. The central government grants subsidies to fulfill local fiscal expenditure responsibilities.
