Kawasaki Heavy Industries will stop the production of the body of the Boeing 787 at its factory in Yatomi City, Aichi Prefecture from 20th of this month to 6th of next month.

Due to the spread of new coronavirus infection, Boeing, which is the delivery destination, has stopped the factory in South Carolina from the beginning of this month, so the company treats it as a closed day during the suspension of operation, It says it will maintain the employment of 250 employees.

In addition, automobile manufacturer SUBARU, which manufactures aircraft parts mainly for Boeing, has decided to stop operations from 20th of this month to 1st of next month at its two plants in Handa City, Aichi Prefecture.
