The Dutco group of companies has provided 15 million dirhams of support to the Community Solidarity Fund against “Covid-19,” which was recently launched by the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai, in the second largest contribution to the fund, in the framework of the model response from the business community. And private sector institutions, eager to participate in supporting efforts to alleviate the health, economic and societal repercussions associated with the emergence of the emerging Corona virus.

The Director General of the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai, Dr. Hamad Sheikh Ahmed Al-Shaibani, praised the efforts of the private sector and its continuous support to the Fund, stressing that the initiative has enabled expanding the base of constructive communication and fruitful cooperation between the private sector and government agencies, departments and institutions, to produce positive results that serve the community.

For his part, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dutco Group, Ahmed Abdel Rahim Baqer, stressed the importance of the private sector's participation in strengthening the steps taken by the UAE and the Dubai government in facing this global challenge, with its profound effects on all sectors around the world.

He said: “We learned from our leadership that doing good is an inherent principle of this precious land, which provided all forms of support to everyone who needs help in all parts of the land.
