Large retailers have signed partnerships with home meal delivery companies, while the Drives are stormed with containment. For a few days now, Carrefour and Casino have had their customers' groceries delivered by Uber Eats. Franprix and Monop 'stores go through Deliveroo, reports Le Figaro .

Different baskets offered

Not all cities are affected. Géant Casino and Casino Supermarkets, which were the pioneers, have been offering deliveries since April 3 in 17 major cities in the country (Angers, Paris, Dijon, Grenoble, Marseille, Nîmes, etc.). Two different baskets are offered at 25 euros.

With its Monop 'shops, Monoprix has been offering baskets from April 6 in 15 cities in France to compose with 80 selected items. The cost varies between 13 and 40 euros but the prices are slightly increased, Deliveroo taking a commission.

Extended service after confinement?

Carrefour joined forces with Uber Eats on April 6. But only about fifteen convenience stores in Paris and its small crown are concerned, specifies Le Figaro . You can only order daily food shopping, hygiene and cleaning products. The brand could extend this experience to the whole country "within the next few weeks", even after the confinement has ended. For its part, Franprix (Casino group) had already started a collaboration with Deliveroo before the implementation of containment. Now, it offers thematic baskets with a hundred references.

Note that the deliverers are supposed to ensure contactless deliveries, respecting the health security rules.
