Abu Dhabi Undersecretary of the Department of Economic Development Rashid Abdul Karim Al Balushi said that no worker will be laid off in the current period due to the emerging Corona virus as benefit 19 and we encourage workers to work remotely if there is room for that

Al-Balooshi emphasized that there is a great commitment on the part of government and private companies to the circular issued by the department yesterday regarding preventing the transfer of labor to outside the emirate and restricting its movement to the city of Abu Dhabi, Al-Ain and Al-Dhafra and preventing entry of non-resident workers into the emirate to it, explaining that companies are cooperating with the department to implement the decision

In statements to "Emirates Today", Al-Balushi noted that there are widespread checkpoints in the emirate in order to verify the application of the circular and not to violate it, noting that the aim of the circular is to reduce contact and friction between workers to control the emerging corona virus as a benefit 19 and protect workers themselves and residents of the emirate citizens and residents

He pointed out that the department has taken many measures in the labor areas to control the virus and prevent its spread, such as ensuring the highest levels of hygiene and not overcrowding the labor housing with labor as well as taking full preventive measures as we asked to resort to the competent authorities immediately in case there is doubt that any worker is infected with the virus

Al-Balooshi stressed the need for the entire population to adhere to the social distance between one and a half and two meters, while encouraging the use of electronic applications in purchases and carrying out shopping in cases of necessity only

He stressed that the department has taken many initiatives to control the virus during the last period and the coming period will witness the launch of more initiatives to protect society continuously.

The Undersecretary of the Department of Economic Development pointed out that there is coordination with various government agencies for 24 hours a day to exchange ideas and take the necessary measures quickly, noting that electronic services have been provided to facilitate social separation of the population and stay at home and not mixing to control the virus

The Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi revealed to the UAE today, yesterday, that a violation of the circular issued by it on Monday regarding the transfer of labor requires financial fines for companies ranging from 3 thousand dirhams to 10 thousand dirhams and up to the closure of the facility in cases of repeated violation
