“I talked on the phone with OPEC Secretary General Mohammed Barkindo and congratulated him on his outstanding achievements in the organization’s work and on the historic OPEC + agreement,” RIA Novosti quoted Maduro as saying.
According to him, this agreement "will ensure stability in world markets."
Earlier, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak, following a meeting of G20 ministers, said OPEC + agreed on a deal to reduce oil production, which will last until May 1, 2022.
