As you just heard, with the controversy over human rights violations, there are more than 40,000 domestic self-containers now, but there is much to worry about how to do it all and how to manage it well.

Reporter Nam Joo-hyun has covered how wristbands have already been introduced in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong introduced wristbands for the first time on February 3rd.

It was targeted by people from Wuhan, China.

In the middle of last month, the target of wearing was expanded to all those who arrived from overseas, and shortly afterwards, due to technical problems, only a third of the wristbands were operated on trial and error.

In the quarantine process, there were people who missed or did not hear the explanation properly.

[Charles Mok / Hong Kong Residents: I think it is a procedural and handling problem in the airport where many people are confused and confused.]

In Taiwan, there were discussions about electronic bracelets, but legal authority issues were raised. Currently, a mobile phone location tracking-based system similar to that of Korea is being used.

In addition to technical and procedural matters, there is a need for sufficient review so that there is no controversy in terms of legal and human rights.

Consent to the provision and use of personal information and location information is essential even for self-quarantine apps used in domestic quarantine.

This is why the installation rate of self-isolation apps is far below 100%.

[Park Jong-Hyun / Head of Public Relations Management Team, Pan-government Countermeasures Support Headquarters: Currently, the rate of app installation is slightly over 60% for self-isolators in Korea.

Currently, 4,566 people are self-contained.

The government predicts that the number will increase from 80,000 to 90,000 when looking at the increasing trend of overseas immigrants.

Even with the introduction of wristbands, the government must also consider how to handle cost and management and retroactively apply it to the existing insulators.
