The Minister of Agriculture Didier Guillaume had launched at the end of March an appeal "to the army of the shadows (...), to women and men who do not work, who are confined to their homes, who are waiters in a restaurant, hostess in a hotel, hairdresser (…), who no longer have any activity ”. He encouraged them to join "the great army of French agriculture" in order to meet the need for labor for the spring harvests. The usual seasonal workers, often foreigners, are indeed stranded in their countries.

Obviously, the minister has been heard. Over 200,000 people applied for the platform launched by Pôle Emploi (FNSEA also has a dedicated platform). "We are not going to take these people across France, they are going to work near their homes, with farmers, but also in agrifood companies, in transport and logistics," said the Minister.

If you are in this situation, your testimony interests us. Why did you decide to go to work for a farmer or in the food industry? How is this new experience going? Are the recommendations (barrier gestures, minimum distance, hand washing) respected in your new job? You can testify using the form below. If you wish, you can send us a photo of your workplace.
