Akamai, a distributed and cloud computing company, said on the 7th that global Internet traffic (usage) increased by 30% compared to the end of February.
"Internet traffic around the world was affected by Coronavirus Infection-19 (Corona19)," Akamai said.
In the four countries, China, Korea, Japan, and Italy, which have been affected since the early days of Corona19, Internet traffic growth in February was 25% higher than in other countries.
The peak traffic (momentary maximum) observed last month was 167 Tbps, more than twice the 82 Tbps in March 2019.
