Futures for Brent crude for June delivery rose 11.56% to $ 27.60 a barrel.
May futures for WTI crude oil rose 10.29% to $ 22.40 a barrel.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that Russia and Saudi Arabia could reach an agreement on oil prices in the next few days. He called the current oil price situation "very bad" for Russia and Saudi Arabia.
