Suzuki to support respirator production in India

With the spread of the new coronavirus in the main Indian market, automaker Suzuki has decided to support the production of respirators locally and start manufacturing masks and protective clothing.

According to the announcement, Suzuki's subsidiary in India will assist local ventilator manufacturers to collaborate on parts procurement and provide production know-how to increase production.

In India, where the spread of the new coronavirus is expanding, the government last month requested local companies, including Suzuki's subsidiaries, to manufacture respirators.

In addition, Suzuki has decided to start manufacturing masks and protective clothing locally, and is considering locations to produce.

Even in the United States, where the number of people infected with respirators is increasing rapidly, major automakers have announced plans to produce them.
