As a 9-year-old patient who was admitted to Seoul Asan Hospital in Songpa-gu, Seoul was confirmed by Corona 19, 43 inpatients who had contacted the child were put into quarantine.

Jung Eun-gyeong, head of the Central Quarantine and Countermeasures Counter (Bang Dae-bon), said at a regular briefing held at the Osong Disease Control Center in Chungbuk, today (1st), "A hospitalization at Seoul Asan Hospital has been confirmed and an epidemiologic investigation is underway."

"The medical staff and guardians who contacted the confirmed patients were self-contained, and the same group is being quarantined for 43 patients in hospital," said Jung.

The child, who was confirmed yesterday's corona19, visited Uijeongbu St. Mary's Hospital on the 25th of last month and was treated at the Pediatric Emergency Room at Seoul Asan Hospital on the 26th.

The corona19 diagnostic test was performed on the day of hospitalization, but it was negative. However, due to the medical history of Uijeongbu St. Mary's Hospital, where a group infection occurred, it was positive as a result of retesting on the 31st of last month.

Since then, over 500 people, including medical staff and children who have contacted the child or have overlapping copper wires, were diagnosed and all were confirmed negatively.

The hospital imposed a two-week job limit on 52 employees, including medical staff who directly treated children.
