The announcement showed that on March 12, 2020, Guizhou Moutai Wine Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the company) issued a notice to the directors to convene the fifth meeting of the second session of the board of directors in 2020 (hereinafter referred to as the meeting). On the afternoon of March 20, 2020, the meeting was held by means of voting by correspondence. Seven directors should attend the meeting, and seven directors actually attended the meeting.
The "Proposal on Election of the Chairman" agreed: 7 votes; against: 0 votes; abstention: 0 votes. The motion was passed. At the meeting, Comrade Gao Weidong was elected as the chairman of the company's second board of directors, chairman of the strategy committee, and member of the audit committee.
On March 3, the official of Maotai Group announced that he had changed coaches. Gao Weidong, 48, took over Li Baofang and was the youngest chairman in Maotai history. The announcement also mentioned that in March 2020, Gao Weidong had taken over as the party secretary and chairman of the Guizhou Moutai parent company China Guizhou Moutai Distillery (Group) Co., Ltd. (referred to as: Moutai Group).
