China News Network Changchun, March 19 (Reporter Guo Jia) The cross-border cargo charter flight from Changchun to Seoul opened on the 19th at Changjia Longjia International Airport. This charter flight carried about 10 tons of cross-border e-commerce packages and general trade cargo. The value of the goods is about 3 million US dollars.

The Department of Commerce of Jilin Province stated that the opening of this cross-border charter route fills the gap in the all-cargo route from Changchun to South Korea, improves the convenience of import and export trade between Jilin Province and South Korea, and facilitates the construction of a China-Korea international cooperation demonstration zone.

The first flight was operated by a Boeing 737. The cargo types covered included clothing, automotive cables, automotive spare parts, electrical appliances and furniture accessories, and mask anti-epidemic materials.

The day after arriving in Korea (20th), the flight will carry cross-border e-commerce and general trade goods such as cosmetics, clothing and auto parts, and return from Incheon International Airport to Changchun Longjia International Airport.

According to the introduction of the Department of Commerce of Jilin Province, the flight is currently in the trial operation stage. The flight schedule is tentatively scheduled for two flights every Thursday and Saturday in March, and three flights every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday in April.

At present, the global epidemic situation of new crown pneumonia is severe, and international trade and logistics are greatly affected. Jilin Province officials hope that the goods destined for Europe, the United States, and Japan can be transited through Incheon Port to provide new trade channels for foreign trade enterprises in the province.

The Department of Commerce of Jilin Province said that the next step will be to actively promote the Changchun City Bureau of Commerce and the Xinglong Comprehensive Insurance Zone to further optimize the import and export business process of freight charter flights, promote charter business to serve more provincial enterprises, and strive to achieve stable operation of cross-border cargo charter flights from Changchun to Seoul. .
