The government will release information and sales volume of public masks from 7 pm today (10th).

The Ministry of Science and ICT, Ministry of Public Administration and Security, Ministry of Health and Welfare and Small and Medium Venture Businesses said that they will hold a briefing at the Seoul Government Office today to provide public mask sales data to private companies in cooperation with Korea Information Technology Agency and Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service.

It is a public-private partnership that discloses the data needed by the government at the government level, and uses the data to develop services needed by the public, such as an 'app to check how much mask is left in which place.'

The service provides data such as distributors and sales status to the Korea IT Agency, and the IT agency reprocesses this data and provides it through the open API method through NAVER CLOUD.

An API is a way of making your data available to anyone through its interface.

The Ministry of Information and Communications expected that private developers, such as portals such as Naver and Kakao, startups, and the developer community, would be able to quickly develop various app services using open data.
