It is noted that the kingdom expresses concern that the spread of coronavirus will adversely affect the demand for oil, while the Russian side believes that there is no reason to reduce production.
It is clarified that Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE will hold talks to jointly reduce oil production by another 300,000 barrels per day.
Kuwait and Saudi Arabia previously began trial oil production at the Al-Wafra and Al-Khafji fields located in the neutral zone on the border between the two countries.
