His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, visited this evening the Gulf Food Exhibition "Gulfood" hosted by the Dubai World Trade Center in its twenty-fifth edition, from 16 to 20 this month.
His Highness toured the corridors and hallways of the exhibition, which is among the largest and most famous and most important specialized exhibitions in the region and the world, where His Highness was briefed on the exhibits and products of government and private companies specialized in preparing, manufacturing and canning food and beverages, and modern technologies used in these innovative and advanced processes so that food and drinks are preserved for their nutritional value Basic principles and ensuring its safety and suitability for human consumption.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, during his tour between the exhibition stands and pavilions of companies, was welcome to exhibitors and visitors whom he exchanged with a greeting similarly. He expressed his happiness for the participation of this huge number of companies and local, Arab and international bodies in this great event, which has a population that reaches to what More than five thousand destination companies representing about 160 countries, including the Emirates.
Commenting on the importance of the exhibition, its size and the number of participants, His Highness said, "The importance of (Gulfood) stems from the fact that it is concerned with human food, health and safety, and the human being is the highest creature of God Almighty and accordingly, the states and governments in general and our country in particular are aware that food security is at the heart of the state’s strategy. To protect it and take all necessary and necessary measures and precautions for this purpose, that is why I was keen, when forming my last government, to establish a Ministry of Food Security. "
