Shares of companies associated with South Korean movie Parasite (Parasite) by Director Bong Joon-ho, a comic act dealing with the differences between the rich and the poor, rose dramatically after the work of the Oscar won big.

Shares of production, distribution and pasta manufacturing companies that have appeared in the film have risen since the announcement of his winning the Oscar, given that he is the first non-English-language film to win the Hollywood Grand Prix.

The stock market closed on Wednesday, with shares of "Parason E&A", the producer of "Parasite", rising 91% in the emerging Kusdak market in Seoul compared to Friday, the last trading day in the markets before the Oscars.

The shares of Nongshim, the South Korean company that specializes in food and beverages, which produces instant noodles that were shown in the movie, also rose by 11% over the same period.

Meanwhile, the film's distributor, CJENM, which is one of the largest media companies in South Korea, increased by 4.5% in the main Kospi market.

It is noteworthy that the budget for the production of the film amounted to 11 million dollars, but it has achieved global profits amounting to 130 million dollars since its screening at the Cannes Film Festival last May.
