“Launch of Nord Stream 2: the end of 2020 ... Annual capacity: 55 billion cubic meters,” the company’s presentation prepared for investor’s day says.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin said that the construction of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline would be successfully completed, despite the sanction pressure from the United States.

On February 4, the Handelsblatt newspaper, citing diplomatic circles in Washington, said the United States intended to impose new sanctions on the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project.

The material notes that if Russia "tries to complete the construction of the remaining kilometers of the pipeline in the Baltic Sea, the House of Representatives and the Senate are ready to adopt another law on sanctions."
