Under the patronage and attendance of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Supreme President and Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Airlines and the group, the group hosted at its headquarters, 250 students and 8 students from 8 schools to attend an interactive session, formed part of the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature Festival in which 30 thousand students participated last year . The session discussed the diversity of roles within the group, with the aim of helping to develop students' passion for the aviation industry by enriching their knowledge of the skills and preparations required for these roles.

The students, whose ages ranged between 14 to 18 years, witnessed an unforgettable two-hour session on what is necessary to work with the largest international air carrier in the world, where officials from various departments in the Emirates Group provided students with presentations and answered their questions and inquiries through seminars, This sparked their interest and provided them with rich information about the aviation industry.

This event, organized by the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, is the first session of its kind, and it constitutes a qualitative addition to support the festival this year, and to promote the theme of 2020 "tomorrow", which helps to enhance communication and dialogue with future pilots and engineers and enriches the future of the industry.

The session was moderated by Dawn Metlekev, a festival speaker, career counselor and author focusing on student workplace readiness. The inspiring offers were presented by members from various departments of the Emirates Group, including: Emirates Engineering, Joint Communications, Marketing and Branding, and Emirates to supply aircraft and Emirates for airport services.

Shaji Ravi, Director of Business Development, Emirates Engineering, gave a sneak peek into the department's internal work and the advanced technologies that will lead the aviation industry in the future. Valerie Tan, Vice President, Shared Communications, Marketing and Branding, led the discussion on what to expect from the communications and marketing profession in the aviation industry.

Captain Shihab Hamza, and the flight crew's supervisor, Jad Copps, joined a seminar to connect with students and answer their inquiries about these two professions. They reviewed the wonderful moments he experienced during flights, the various challenges and favorite destinations, and how they advanced professionally on Emirates Airlines.

Ravi Naji, Regional Supply Manager, explained how to prepare seasonal and regional meals to meet different tastes of passengers across all trips. Nicholas Moore, Senior Vice President of Passenger Services at the airport, also discussed the leadership skills and know-how needed to oversee passenger services and center operations at one of the busiest airports in the world.

The session concluded with a motivational speech for guest speaker Jonathan Yabut, author of the best-selling book and winner of The Apprentice Asia Prize and one of the over 200 authors who participated in the festival, addressing the audience by saying: "Never set limits on your dreams."
