Airline KLM is no longer flying to China until mid-March, the company announced on Thursday. The reason for scrapping the flights is concern about the new corona virus.
Last week, flights to Beijing and Shanghai Chinese cities were canceled until 9 February. The airline already announced that it would cancel flights to Xiamen, Chengdu and Hangzhou until 29 February. This has now been extended to 28 March.
With the decision to cancel flights until the end of February, KLM is joining other major European airlines. British Airways suspended all flights to Beijing and Shanghai on 29 January until 29 February. The German Lufthansa also no longer flies to the two Chinese cities until the end of February.
