The supplementary budget draft includes the cost of implementing new economic measures with a total business size of about 26 trillion yen compiled last month, and recovery and reconstruction from a series of disasters such as Typhoon No. 19 last October and ¥ 2,308.6 billion has been allocated to strengthening river dikes and other infrastructure for "toughening."

In addition, to prevent traffic accidents by elderly drivers, ¥ 113.9 billion was provided to assist in the purchase of cars equipped with automatic brakes, and ¥ 231.8 billion was provided for projects aimed at deploying one personal computer and tablet to elementary and junior high school students. As a result, additional expenditures were ¥ 4,472.22 billion in general accounts.

Financial resources will be provided by issuing ¥ 2,191.7 billion in construction government bonds, which are limited to public utilities.

In addition, as corporate tax revenues have decreased due to the effects of trade friction between the United States and China, tax revenue forecasts for the current fiscal year will be reduced by ¥ 2,315 billion from the beginning, and deficit government bonds will be reduced by ¥ 2,2297 to compensate for the lack of tax revenues.
