Mohamed Abdullah Al Zaabi, CEO of Miral Real Estate Development in Abu Dhabi, confirmed that there is cooperation between the company and the Expo 2020 Dubai office, to provide the best entertainment experiences for visitors to the exhibition.
He said in a press conference held yesterday, that a group of offers in all entertainment cities for "Yas Island" on the "Expo 2020 Dubai" site, and the provision of buses and transportation between "Yas Island" and "Expo 2020 Dubai" to transport visitors, are being discussed.
He pointed out that "Expo 2020 Dubai" is a prominent international event, which we are all proud of in the Emirates, and it will have positive effects on the tourism, hotels, and other sectors.
Al-Zaabi revealed that the company launched an electronic payment system in cooperation with a specialized company and many banks, indicating that the application of the system began in many commercial stores in «Yas Mall», and will be applied in entertainment cities in the island during the current year, and its application is also being discussed in the island hotels. He said that Chinese visitors will benefit from this application in particular. He stressed that the company finished, at the beginning of this month, the completion of the entire infrastructure in the "Yas Bay" project in "Yas Island", whose investment amounted to 12 billion dirhams.
He stated that the company signed four contracts within three months to sell four plots of land designated for residential purposes in the project, which is expected to attract 15 thousand residents, and more than 10 thousand employees.
Al-Zaabi said that the first indications for visitors to "Yas Island" during 2019 indicate that last summer is one of the best seasons the island has witnessed in five years, especially from Gulf visitors, as well as the markets of China, India and Germany. He pointed out that preliminary indications indicate that 30% of Yas visitors in 2019 are from the local market, including citizens and residents, and 70% of the global market.
