According to him, a number of new factories have been built in Russia, 23 sectoral plans for import substitution in priority civilian industries are in place, many of which are designed for the period up to 2021.

Medvedev also noted that more than 1700 import substitution projects were envisaged.

“They are now at different levels of execution, more than two-thirds have already earned,” the prime minister emphasized.

Earlier, Medvedev said that in 2015–2018 more than 1.6 trillion rubles were allocated for “import substitution in industry”, and about 1.3 trillion rubles will be spent on financing import substitution projects in 2019 and 2020.
