Applications to find a fast path, to get to work in particular, have never been more sought than in this period of strike on public transport. Carpool sites also register a very large increase in their attendance.

Google Maps, Citymapper, Mappy or Yes.SNCF ... The applications to optimize its journey are not lacking, and according to information from Europe 1, they have rarely been as solicited as in recent days, by users of transport in that the strike left on the floor. The Parisians especially, particularly impacted by the movement, roam the nose in their smartphone in search of the fastest way or alternative means of transport to get to work. Result: the number of connections on platforms and applications dedicated to the mobility explode for a few days.

Just on Oui.SNCF, the site of the railway company, recorded in five days four times more applications than normal, with four million routes searched since Thursday. The number of counselors has been increased by 30%. Same thing at RATP. "Our website has seen its traffic since the start of the strike multiplied by 5.5.On our application, downloads have increased by 50%," said Europe 1 Hiba Fares, the marketing director of the RATP.

Another live application: the Mappy route comparator. "When we focus on the Paris region, we achieve a growth of more than 50%," slips its CEO Florence Leveel.

Finally, the ultimate effect of the strike: the boom of carpooling platforms. Blablalines, BlaBlaCar's home-to-work version, has registered ten times more registrations since the beginning of the strike, and its competitor has 14 times more bookings than normal.
