This was announced on Facebook by the head of the Ukrainian company Andrey Kobolev.

“After the law is signed by the president, our positions in the negotiations with Gazprom on transit will strengthen significantly, since it is already clear that from January 1, Ukraine will be able to work in full compliance with European norms and rules,” he said.

According to him, consistent work is underway in Ukraine to complete the unbundling.

He said that other legislative changes “provide an opportunity to ensure the continuity of gas transportation and break-even operation of the operator at the first stage of its activity.”

“The argument of the Russians that Ukraine is not ready for European rules is becoming irrelevant,” he added.

Earlier in Kiev it was announced that Zelensky signed the law on the creation of an independent gas transmission system operator.

On November 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared the risk of stopping gas transit through Ukraine.

Kobolev later commented on Putin's words.
